This resource was developed as a collaboration between reSolve and Primary Connections as part of National Science Week. In this lesson, students learn about how marine animal tracking works, investigate tracking their own movement, and explore and describe marine animal behaviour.

Lesson 1: Reef Tracks

Students map their own movements over the course of a typical day. The students examine their maps to decipher the behaviour behind the data they have collected. Students then choose an animal on the Reef Tracks website. The examine the data on their chosen animal and consider behaviours this data reveals about their animal.
