reSolve tasks offer a clear and practical approach that supports purposeful teaching and encourages student-led learning. In my classroom, they’ve sparked deeper thinking and more meaningful discussions. Students are challenged to think critically, justify their reasoning, and consider different perspectives. I’ve witnessed countless ‘aha’ moments as students become more engaged, reflective, and confident in tackling complex problems. They are less focused on simply finding the answer and more interested in understanding the reasoning behind it. It’s incredibly rewarding to see them persist through challenges and articulate their ideas and questions with clarity.

reSolve offers something very rare in education: a set of resources and PL offerings that are meticulously crafted, linked to the best available research evidence, and just feel right. Their approach is based around students engaging in meaningful mathematical inquiry through problem posing, reasoning, justifying, multiple representations and more. Explicit teaching is braided throughout to ensure students have the knowledge and skills needed to engage in genuine mathematical thinking.
